Position Overview

AFDC is seeking experienced Data Collection Assistant for short-term assignments focused on quantitative and qualitative project assignments. The selected candidates will conduct field data collection for various baseline and endline evaluations, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the collected data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face interviews with respondents using structured survey instruments.
  • Collect quantitative data using electronic tools
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy through rigorous quality control measures.
  • Follow sampling plans and meet assigned data collection quotas.
  • Adhere to ethical and culturally sensitive research practices.
  • Collaborate with AFDC and partner organizations to complete assignments within the stipulated timeframe.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: University graduate or student in social sciences, public health, development studies, or related fields.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in field data collection, quantitative research, or survey implementation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mobile-based data collection tools
  • Language: Fluency in English and the local Thai language
  • Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Availability: Must be available for short-term assignments at short notice.

Additional Considerations

  • Prior experience in development research, monitoring & evaluation, or social surveys is an advantage.
  • Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or international development organizations is preferred.
  • Ability to travel within assigned locations for field data collection, if required.
