The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.Position OverviewDigital Health focuses on supporting clinical and business systems as the foundation for leveraging electronic data in the delivery of healthcare services.We have opportunities for data integrity analysts who may be assigned within any area of Digital Health to provide data quality support to facilitate a cross-system view of client information throughout the province to improve health services.Reporting to a supervisor, data integrity analysts:

  • Monitor data quality, collaborate and provide regular communication and support to source system organizations to resolve data quality issues.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement in the quality of client information across source systems and processes relating to registration, health records, and client data integrity.
  • Provide training to site contacts and application maintenance teams.
  • Work independently with minimal direction and protect confidential information.
  • Use analytical and methodical approach to investigate and resolve concerns and ensure technology systems are running optimally to meet user needs.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience using and training others on admissions/discharge/transfer (ADT) systems in a health information services environment, and using spreadsheets, databases, general office systems, and registration and digital records management systems to analyze and manage data, and to promote data quality and integrity.
  • 2 years of experience facilitating, developing and implementing business processes and policies, and monitoring emerging multijurisdictional trends in data management and naming conventions.
  • Experience working under the Manitoba Personal Health Information Act and working with report development tools are assets.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • A post-secondary diploma in health information management.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Active member in good standing and current certification from the Canadian Health Information Management Association.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities at the staff level. The provincial health system in Manitoba has adopted the

framework.Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.
  • Interruptions to respond to questions are common; dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration can be scheduled.
  • Travel throughout the province requiring a valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a personal motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate the service requirements of source system and client organizations and support our 24/7/365, province-wide client needs through scheduled overtime and on call work as required.
