Job Description:The Waltham Petcare Science Institute provides the word-class science behind the MARS Petcare brands. Our work at WALTHAM covers diverse topics in pet nutrition, health, and wellbeing and is achieved through designed experiments and real-world data. The role of the Data Product Manager will be to deliver a suite of data products underpinning WALTHAM scientific research (including Mars Petcare Biobank), that will transform our data product landscape and provide data assets that support our Petcare strategy of creating a better world for pets.What are we looking for?An experienced Data Product Managerwith proven expertise to successfully lead cross-functional teams and the ability to inspire and motivate to achieve shared goals.comfortable prioritising and managing multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent communication skills towards technical and non-technical stakeholders.having expert and practical knowledge on FAIR data principles, data governance, data stewardship and data standards.having a deep understanding of data, preferably having worked previously with biological, multiomics, clinical, and/or veterinary data.with a master’s or PhD degree in computer science, statistics, business, or a related field (preferred).What will be your key responsibilities?The Data Product Manager role is focused on product strategy, management, and communication, and willlead and coordinate the data product delivery process, from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.communicate and work with technical experts and stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on product vision, strategy, and execution.work closely with data engineers, research scientists and data scientists to define fit for research data requirements, data quality and data models.define and maintain the roadmap for WALTHAM data products according to our Data Governance priorities.implement and coordinate data stewardship at Waltham, ensuring responsibility for the quality and relevance of data products and their life cycle management.What can you expect from Mars?Work with over 130,000 diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.#TBDDTMars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
