At the University of Southampton, we aim to change the world for the better, bringing together realms of research, creativity, and knowledge to have a truly collaborative, immersive, and ground-breaking impact.  We care about the challenges that humanity is facing, and work to support others on a local and global scale.

In the Office of Development & Alumni Relations (ODAR), our job is to galvanise our community to solve these challenges and to make a difference. Would you like this to be your job too?

The Role

We are recruiting for two new Data and Reporting Officers – these roles present an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, inquisitive and skilled individual to join the Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR).  Working alongside our Fundraising and Alumni & Supporter Engagement Teams, the Development Services Team provide operational support and data driven strategic insight to inform and support the various activity across ODAR.

About You

We are looking for a logical, accurate and data-inquisitive individual who thrives when dealing with data and databases. You will have experience of using and reporting from relational databases and datasets, importing and exporting data and ensuring the ongoing quality and accuracy of data. You will provide audience lists for outgoing communications and other data set outputs based on a requested set of criteria and understand that you may need to provide advice on the type of data available or what the selection criteria will provide to the internal customer.

Whether you’re looking for a new sector to apply your skills or looking for your first job in data and reporting and have an inquisitive, keen desire to learn we would be happy to receive your application.

About Us

This is an exciting time to join the University.  We are planning our first University-wide fundraising and engagement campaign.   Together, we want to raise more money and to engage more alumni and friends with Southampton so that we can change the world.

As well as a mix of office and at home working, we offer a great benefits package that includes a contributory pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, subsidised health and fitness facilities, a cycle-to-work scheme and a range of discounts and offers at local shops, restaurants and service providers.

This could be a career-defining and remarkable opportunity. Help us change the world. Join us.
