We have a varied and interesting opportunity for a Communications Assistant to join the Medical Sciences Divisional Office to support the practical implementation of the Division’s day-to-day communication outputs. This role is well-suited to someone looking for the next step in their communications career within a supportive and collaborative environment. Working closely with the Divisional Communications team, the Communications Assistant will help with content production for all divisional communication channels, answer general enquiries and support the team’s longer-term objectives.
The Communications Assistant role has plenty of scope for development, and the role holder will be encouraged to take part in training and development opportunities and to creatively contribute to divisional communications wherever the opportunity arises.
You will be educated to A level or have equivalent professional experience, and be able to demonstrate experience of communications activities, both in print and online. The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively, whilst also working independently and flexibly. You will be confident and happy interacting with a variety of stakeholders, have a genuine interest in helping people and finding creative solutions. This is an exciting role that requires outstanding communication skills, strong organisational skills as well as a keen eye for detail.
This position is full time (although part time at a minimum of 0.8 FTE will be considered) and permanent.
You will be based in the Medical Sciences Divisional Office, Level 3, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU. Flexible / hybrid working will be considered.
