Departmental Lecturer in Medical Anthropology

The School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography seeks to appoint a one-year, fixed-term Departmental Lecturer in Medical Anthropology, ideally from October 2023.

You will have an aptitude for teaching and some experience of teaching across medical anthropology, with both breadth and depth of knowledge and a full command of the relevant literature.

You will contribute primarily to teaching, supervision and examining for the MSc and MPhil courses in Medical Anthropology.  There will also be opportunities to teach medical anthropology topics to a mixed cohort of undergraduate and postgraduate students, to contribute lectures designed for first-year undergraduates, and to contribute to graduate classes and seminars.  You will be asked to supervise MSc students, covering a broad range of topics drawn from the core syllabus, and to set and mark examinations.
