Deputy Director of EFCD (Capital)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a significant opportunity to play a key leadership role in a leading Trust alongside a committed and able leadership team, so we are seeking a senior capital development expert with proven experience of managing complexity and working at a senior level. The team is developing innovative ways of delivering a quality service, meeting our compliance requirements, providing value for money and developing our team to achieve sustainably high standards of professional performance and ensuring that staff can achieve their own work life goals.

With direct budgetary responsibility and control of the capital budgets and assets, the Trust has a record of strong financial performance. You will be key in managing the team so that value for money is delivered consistently.

You will work alongside our deputy director of strategy to manage and control strategic planning for the division, supporting the emerging masterplan of the Trust through physical projects management and high-level coordination with other Divisions. A key part of this role is building relationships with clinical staff and other specialists so that you can support them in delivering world class care.

Working closely with the Compliance team, you will be responsible for the information documentation and evidence systems to ensure that the Trust Board are assured of their legal responsibilities in respect to the capital statutory compliance. You will be a values-driven and politically astute manager committed to partnership working and passionate about the equality, diversity, and inclusion agenda.

We are looking for a senior manager that has an excellent track record in delivering high quality capital projects within or for the NHS. We are seeking a leader who is capable of managing and developing a large team, and who is seeking development into a more senior themselves.
