The Role and Scope:
The Deputy Director- Rohingya Response & Nexus will be responsible to provide strategic oversight and manage program & influencing work in Cox’s Bazar that focused on the Rohingya refugees and host communities with a planned expansion to the entire Cox Bazar District.
This position will ensure the integration our humanitarian efforts with development and peace initiatives, fostering an environment where children and youth can thrive despite the challenges posed by the crisis.
This profile will set the overall humanitarian & nexus programme vision for Plan in Rohingya crises response, lead strategic and programme planning, implementation, and coordination of programs aimed at building resilience and empowering children and youth, especially girls, within both Rohingya camps and host communities in Cox’s Bazar.
Deputy Director- Rohingya Response & Nexus will be involved in strategic leadership, program management, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with government agencies, international organizations, partners, local NGOs, sectors, NGO coordination platform, and community groups.
The post holder will ensure our response is efficient, effective, and adaptive to the changing needs of the communities we serve, incorporating lessons learned and best practices. At the Cox’s Bazar level, the post holder will be Plan International’s representative and will play an active role in supporting advocacy with the Government, UN agencies, Inter Sector Coordination Group (ISCG), INGOs and national organisations.
As member in Extended Leadership Group (ELG) of Plan International Bangladesh, the post holder will require to establish functional coherent relationship and meaningful contribution in strategic discussion and decision in country program.
What we’re looking for:
Strategic Leader: Ensure overall leadership and management of the Rohingya Response program, ensuring alignment with Plan International’s strategic objectives and the triple Nexus approach.
Program Manager: Ensure that program implementation (at least 10-15 projects) is responsive to communities and partners and aligned with principles, values, global strategy, and Plan Internal Bangladesh country strategy
Monitoring Capability: Should provide managerial and programmatic oversight including day-to-day direction to/supervision of the program team; provide mentoring, coaching and capacity-building/training to staff, as needed.
Safety & Security: Collaborate with relevant staffs to ensure adequate risk management systems are in place
Team Expert: Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Location: Cox’s Bazar
Duration: Two Years
Salary: Monthly consolidated salary range for this role is 287,183 BDT – 358,979 BDT (may vary based on experience) along with other benefits i.e.
Life Insurance, Hospitalization Insurance coverage along with Out Patient Treatment Benefit.
