CapsLock is seeking an experienced and motivated Design Team Lead to guide and mentor a talented team of designers, drive creative direction, and shape the development of marketing projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the creative delivery of design solutions, setting best practices, and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our visual marketing strategies. This role requires both creative expertise and leadership capabilities, with a strong focus on collaboration across departments.

Job Description:

• Lead, mentor, and guide the design team
• Drive creative direction decisions, ensuring marketing effectiveness, visual appeal, and client’s brand consistency
• Track design effectiveness by split-testing approach
• Ensure the production of visually compelling and on-brand marketing materials
• Develop design strategies for various marketing campaigns and platforms
• Monitor project progress, offering creative guidance and leadership
• Collaborate closely with business unit representatives, frontend developers, and marketing teams
• Research, design, implement, and manage high-quality marketing design solutions
• Develop and maintain design documentation and style guides
• Oversee design quality and enforce best practices, including conducting design reviews
• Continuously identify areas for design improvement and ensure timely updates
• Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends and marketing best practices

Skills & Background:

• 5+ years of professional experience in marketing design
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, guiding and mentoring design teams
• Expertise in modern design software, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Solid knowledge of design principles, typography, and color theory
• Deep understanding of UX/UI design for digital marketing platforms
• Proficiency with prototyping tools and design systems
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, driving collaboration

• A proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Experience with animation and micro-interactions
• Experience with AI tools and technologies
• Familiarity with Agile development processes
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS for better collaboration with frontend developers
• Experience with version control systems for design assets
