As a trusted advisor, you’ll work internally to support the delivery of tax services, the development and coordination of key training programs and materials and the communication of tax matters.MNP is proudly Canadian. • Develop and maintain firm standards, processes and tools to support the delivery of tax services to our clients
• Troubleshoot queries relating to the preparation of tax returns through the firm’s tax software
• Manage and maintain tax templates in accordance with the latest tax updates
• Develop internal training materials and practice aids to support the implementation of firm standards
• Assist with firm-wide learning and development events as required
• Research and keep up to date with the latest changes in local tax legislation; draft internal and external tax publications
• Issue tax technical research and information/support to professionals throughout the firm
• Prepare and participate in internal tax compliance and planning projects

Skills and Experience

• CPA Designation (completion of CFE examination and working towards relevant practical experience requirements will also be considered)
• Enrollment in or completion of the In-Depth Tax Program
• 2 to 4 years of relevant tax practice experience in a public accounting firm
• Experience preparing domestic tax compliance and implementing tax reorganizations
• Solid understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles
• Experience with private companies and owner-manager taxation is an asset
