The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking a Coordinator for the Development team, reporting to the Director of Policy and Development, within the Translation and Impact area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for coordinating the Development team, which has the strategic function of supporting the whole area with a complete vision of the projects and interventions underway, the funding opportunities and the institutional resources available to implement them. This entails in five main duties:
- Oversight of the portfolio of department projects.
- Design and strategic formulation of cooperation projects and programmatic interventions.
- Design and implementation of the department’s fundraising strategy, with a particular focus on international donors and competitive sources.
- Strategic management of the Policy and Development department’s budgetary resources.
- Internal liaison (with ISGlobal’s scientific programmes and management areas) and external liaison (with funders in Spain, the EU and other regions).

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree, preferably in the human or social sciences and/or economics.
- Post-graduate courses on the international development, public affairs, or project management will be highly appreciated.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in international development policy, preferably in the field of strategic management.
- Outstanding writing and communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Experience in formulating fundraising and project strategies.
- Based in Barcelona and flexibility for national and international travelling.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
CONDITIONS
- Duration: Permanent contract (6 months probation period)

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person’s skills and CV.
2 – Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
