Development Executive – Humanities

Harris Hill are delighted to be partnering up with the University of Oxford to find them a Development Executive, which will be raising funds for their world-class Humanities department.

Permanent position

We are looking to recruit a Development Executive to join the Humanities Development Team. You will be joining a successful and experienced fundraising team to build on a period of growth.

The University’s scholarship in languages, literature, history, philosophy, religion & the arts – from the earliest civilisation to the present day – enriches our understanding of humankind, and informs how we engage with historic issues and contemporary concerns.

To be successful in this role:

•        You will be highly motivated and enthusiastic about the impact of research and teaching in the Humanities.

•        You must have a confident approach to achieving ambitious income targets and the ability to think entrepreneurially.

•        Experience in any fundraising income streams.

•        You will manage your own donor portfolio (corporate, trust and individual) and must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

•        A collaborative and flexible working style is essential.

You will have a passion for the Arts and Humanities and possess diplomacy, creativity and outstanding communication skills, as well as the ability to operate comfortably in a large, complex institution with multiple stakeholders. Essential to the role is the ability to develop good working relationships with the academic community, and the creativity, discretion and tenacity to manage multiple projects.
