Development of a concept note as a funding proposal to scale up anaerobic digest

 Description of the Assignment:  The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Rwanda Country Office invites qualified national individual consultants to submit proposals for the development of a comprehensive concept note as a funding proposal to scale up modern anaerobic digestion (biogas) technology in Rwanda.

The assignment aims to support Rwanda’s climate mitigation efforts by analysing methane reduction potential from livestock manure, assessing sustainable financing mechanisms and business models, and preparing a high-quality concept note to mobilize climate finance aligned with Rwanda’s clean energy and agricultural priorities. The consultant will conduct technical, financial, and stakeholder analyses and develop a bankable concept note targeting climate funding institutions and carbon market opportunities

Period of assignment/services: 60 working days over a period of 3 months (February–April 2026)

 

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.

Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal. UNDP will respond in writing including an explanation of the query without identifying the source of inquiry.
