About The Role
Falmouth Exeter Plus is the service delivery partner of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter. We deliver shared services and facilities for both partners in Cornwall underpinned by close collaboration with Students Union, the combined students’ union for Falmouth and UoE, to ensure that the interests of students and staff are at the heart of everything we do. Both institutions are expanding their teaching and research operations in Cornwall at a pace. We are now seeking a Development Programme Manager to work within our Estate’s team to provide PMO leadership, effective planning, project management and professional services provision to help FX Plus deliver projects which provide quality higher education facilities. This post will be the senior responsible person for the progress and financial reporting of the Estate Projects Portfolio to the Universities for FX Plus.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an effective Capital Development PMO, to provide a robust project governance framework to manage the full lifecycle of projects from conception to operation. It’s an exciting time as we grow the department as our University partners continue to move ahead with our ambitious growth plans. You will have the support of a highly-skilled estates team and have the autonomy to develop the PMO to ensure the right outcomes are achieved.
About You
 
Reporting into the Head of Estate Development the successful candidate will be an astute professional to oversee programme data, both quantitative and qualitative, and drive effective governance, programme and project processes, as well as having the ability to lead key projects as required and be at the forefront in managing a range of stakeholder groups. It’s a varied role which will require the successful candidate to show a real depth of management ability, both in handling complex projects and in the management of internal teams.
 
The ideal candidate would have the following experience:
 

  • High-level experience of working in a senior estates role.
  • Track record of leading complex organisational change. 
  • Experience of working with key stakeholders. 
  • Managing significant budgets. 
  • Experience of leading multiple professional teams.
  • Business case development for capital projects.
  • Understanding of risk management systems.

This senior post is offered on a 37.5 hour a week, full time, permanent contract working across Monday-Friday. We are able to offer this role on a hybrid basis with a mix of on-campus and at home working.
