The consultant is expected to deliver a comprehensive set of strategic and operational products aimed at enhancing the digital presence and communication effectiveness of Our Common Agenda, UN 2.0 and the Summit of the Future. By the end of the six-month assignment, the ultimate result of the service is defined by the successful completion of the expected outputs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Digital Communication Planning: Develop, implement and continuously update a comprehensive digital communication strategy to promote Our Common Agenda, UN 2.0, and the Summit of the Future.
- Content Creation: Produce engaging and informative digital content on a weekly basis, such as articles, reports, videos, and infographics, to convey initiatives effectively.
- Digital Campaign Management: Plan and execute digital campaigns to promote Our Common Agenda, UN 2.0, and the Summit of the Future, drive engagement, and reach a wide and diverse audience, including Member States, UN entities, and the public.
- Social Media Management: Manage and optimize social media channels to ensure consistent messaging and continuously increase reach.
- Website Management: Maintain, expand and update UN 2.0 and other websites, ensuring that they serve as central hubs for information and resources.
- Digital Tools and Platforms: Stay up-to-date with emerging digital communication tools and technologies, leveraging them to enhance the digital presence.
Qualifications/special skills
- At least a first-level university degree in communications, digital marketing, or related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in digital communications and stakeholder engagement within the private sector is required. Experience in content creation and social media management is required, including work with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools is required. Experience in web content management and digital analytics is required, incl. work with WebFlow, WordPress, Drupal, or similar tools is required Written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience in producing slide deck, newsletter, and video production are desirable.
Languages
- Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
