Digital Policy Manager

TIC Council

TIC Council is seeking a Digital Policy Manager to work with our EU public affairs team. This individual will report to the Executive Director for Europe.

The Digital Policy Manager is responsible for the continuous development and execution of the association’s strategic plan for digitalization services, providing support and directing committees working on digital topics; working with members to prepare and carry out advocacy campaigns to reach policymakers, industry, consumer organizations, and NGOs.

Responsibilities

  • Policy monitoring and assessment of EU and global digital policies (focus on Americas, China, India);
  • Management of internal projects on cybersecurity and AI testing and certification;
  • Management and leadership of the TIC Council’s digital working groups (EU and global);
  • Coordinating and writing EU or global positions, and working with the Communications team to ensure their proper dissemination;
  • Providing support in drafting policy positions and speaking points for the Director General and Regional Directors on digital topics.

Profile

  • Familiarity with the dynamics of the EU’s legislative decision-making processes and procedures, through studies and/or professional experience;
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a trade association or European Union bodies;
  • Fluency required in English (oral and written), knowledge of another European language is welcome;
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, ability to steer discussions in a group of peers and to summarize discussions and action points;
