Working across Skip’s complex lines of business, you will be a key leader in driving the strategic vision and effective execution of the brand strategy, including the engagement and activation with sponsorships, promotions and social content. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the effective delivery of the brand promise to help our customers, partners and couriers Skip to the Good Part, through an integrated brand experience and throughout the Skip organization.What’s On Your Plate :Leadership: Lead, develop and inspire your direct team (2 direct reports and a total team of 5), leveraging leveraging EQ to provide effective coaching techniques to promote a learning, growth and high performing environmentStakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT), Strategy, Creative, Product, Sales, Retail, Logistics and other internal Skip and JET teams to ensure alignment and delivery on all program requirements. Engage with external agency partners as extensions of the Brand and Promotions team.Strategic Vision: Develop the multi-year brand strategy that will achieve Skip’s objective of being one of Canada’s most loved brands. Work collaboratively on the cross-functional requirements and milestones to achieve this goal.Data-Driven Decision Making: Seek out and lead with a data-first mindset to ensure ideas, strategies and decisions are laddering up to the organization’s KPIs. Demonstrate sound judgement for making informed decisions when some – not all – of the data is there.Executional Excellence: Support the team with best-in-class executions, ensuring a positive learning environment that enables a stronger ROI for future initiativesCreativity: Lead by example and promote out-of-the-box thinking to set Skip apart from competitors; “status quo” isn’t in your vocabulary.Reporting: Oversee a complex and multi-channel budget while providing timely and detailed reports to SLT.Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our office in Toronto & 2 days working from homeReporting to: Vice President, Marketing – CanadaRecipe for Success:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce or related fieldMinimum 10-15 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 5-7 years in a leadership roleProven track record of building effective, data-driven strategies that deliver against objectivesDeep experience and appreciation for building relationships with various types/levels of stakeholdersAbility to negotiate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders to deliver win/win scenarios that drive profitability for Skip and our partnersEffective in managing competing priorities while significantly contributing to company growth objectivesStrategic thinker that can identify and unlock growth opportunities while navigating through complex barriersFast learner who is highly organized and able to adapt to a rapid-growth and dynamic environmentAn outstanding communicator with the ability to conduct themselves professionally under pressurePositive team player that isn’t afraid to roll up their sleevesWhat It’s Like To Work At Skip:Skip is the kind of workplace that garnered a “Top Places to Work in Manitoba” and it was no small coincidence.
