TI’s Senior Leadership will rely on this brand new role to provide guidance on internal and external market trends, best practices and forecast to help empower TI to effectively attract, retain, and engage team members in alignment with TI’s talent development.As the Director of Executive Compensation, you will provide extensive support in the design, management, and administration of executive compensation programs, policies, and procedures for the company’s leadership at Senior Leadership Levels. This role is involved in carrying out responsibilities related to executive compensation design, governance, and administration. Working closely with the Human Resources Executives, you will act as a trusted advisor on a diverse set of business challenges requiring rigorous data analysis. You are a highly analytical thinker and possess meticulous attention to detail, in addition to expertise in stakeholder management and delivering thoughtful insights derived from complex data. As the successful candidate, you are comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization and will have a proven track record of significant accomplishments preferably in a publicly traded company with a global footprint.Primary Responsibilities:Support business objectives by providing analytical support and advice to the Human Resources Committee on all matters related to past, current and future executive compensation design.Partner with Senior Leadership and HR business partners (including Total Rewards) to understand business objectives and translate them into effective compensation solutions.Maintain recordkeeping and update inventory of executive employee agreements and other plan documents relating to executive compensation.Support the preparation of materials for monthly Executive Leadership and quarterly scheduled Board meetings throughout the year.
Collaborate cross-function to prepare pay disclosure content for the company’s annual report and information circular.Liaise with external consultants and research public filings as needed to obtain understanding of market trends relating to executive compensation programs and structures.Assist in the preparation of presentations and analyses for executive audiences, outlining results, trends, and costings.Support the delivery of the annual compensation program for the executive leadership team and ad-hoc executive compensation projects.Administration of equity and employee share purchase plans, including liaising with the external transfer agent and using their systems to manage employee equity awards and share ownership.Liaise with our Law & Governance and Accounting teams to report and reconcile on share transactions including SEDI filings.Verify, process and input payroll related data for Board members within established time and quality standardsMonitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing executive compensation.Confirms data accuracy and maintains appropriate controls for audit verificationUnderstands the sensitivity of client information and maintains client confidentialityConsult and advise on HR programs and initiatives for the executive team.Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in executive compensation and make recommendations for continuous improvement.Other ad hoc requests from the business.Required Knowledge & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education.Minimum of 8 years of experience in Total Rewards and 3 + years in Executive Compensation design and administrationDeep understanding of executive compensation principles, practices, and regulations.Data expertise: aptitude and familiarity with various sources of compensation data, including information circulars, other public filings, and published surveys.Strong communication skills: clear, concise and influential in all aspects of communication and ability to comfortably handle the room at the highest levels of the organization.Sound analytical skills: ability to decipher moderately complex data sets and deliver recommendations and insights.Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, board members, and external partners.A problem-solving mindset: ability to demonstrate the fundamentals of defining a problem, conducting thorough analysis, and building clear recommendations.Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives to successful completion.An affinity for fast-paced, continuously changing, dynamic environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.Location: This is a remote position.
