This community needs people like you: dedicated, agile and above all audacious so we can truly bring progress forward.The Sales Director of Field Sales, EMEA will be working in our Global Sales and Service team leading a team responsible for discovering, prospecting, and partnering with client organizations poised to make scientific breakthroughs and experience significant commercial growth. The research and product development of our clients will be accelerated through using our extensive products, service capabilities, custom solutions, global partnership network, manufacturing, and supply chain expertise, in the spirit of our Progress Happens Together culture. This position will be based in EMEA and will report into the Senior Director of Sales, EMEA.Roles & responsibilities:Overall accountability for the achievement of the team’s assigned targets for profitable margin and sales revenue, contributing to the achievement of the EMEA teams’ overall revenue and strategic objectives.Managing a team of individual contributors to Identify new, large growth potential, organizational level opportunities in the interest of developing strategic business relationships from amongst the entire breadth of present and yet to be realized Abcam customers.Driving revenue growth for all accounts within remit through proactive and reactive promotion of our portfolio of products and service capabilities.Providing project updates and collect feedback from customers and team to report to global team on EMEA trends and country specifics.Providing feedback and assist the organizational needs, demonstrating agility around market development and new product opportunities, customer trends, and competitive activities.Driving the creation of account and/or territory plans and contribute to global approach.Traveling (domestic and international) of up to 30%.Qualifications:Essential Qualifications:MSc or Ph.D. in Biology or related fieldsStrong experience in solution science-based selling in the Life Science marketExcellent experience of managing sales team with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team of individual contributors towards achievement of goals/targetsGood analytical skills: deep understanding of changing market dynamics & different business disciplinesProficient in managing customer interface and relationship at end-user, decision making, purchasing/procurement, and C-suite levelsExcellent communication skills both written and spokenDesired Qualifications:Experience of working with pharmaceutical, biotech, and leading academic customersExperience in selling complex solutions and servicesAt Abcam, we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce.
