Reporting to the Senior Directory, Healthcare Strategy & Analytics, the Director is accountable for developing evaluating frameworks including health and system outcomes for health & wellness strategic initiatives and opportunities to drive strategy and growth.The director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership across the enterprise, and external partners to evaluate, prioritize, and establish strategic initiatives and the related roadmaps and execution plans.About you:You have a strong background in evaluation of healthcare initiatives and in health outcomes. You are a proven leader, effective communicator, and bring a collaborative mindset. You have extensive experience using data and analytics to drive decision-making based on complex information.What You’ll Do:Develop and oversee evaluation initiatives from planning to executionDevelop best practice guidance based on evidence and research to guide evaluation, clinical outcomes and health system outcomesWork in partnership with technology and analytics teams to generate actionable business and outcomes intelligence and evaluate emerging opportunitiesDevelop and refine use cases, opportunity assessments, outcomes models, and other related business planning materialLead day-to-day coordination of cross-functional, enterprise-wide implementation and execution planning, resolving issues as neededUse superior PowerPoint and written communication skills to develop clear and captivating presentations for senior leadership, cross-functional team members and potential external partners.Become the subject matter expert in relevant areas of healthcare, as well as relevant regulatory and industry developmentWhat You’ll Need:University degree with a concentration in Health Sciences, and/or Engineering (or similar program)Master’s or PhD degree preferred in relevant field to program evaluation and health outcomes7+ years of experience in healthcare sector with a proven track record of successesStrong background in program evaluation, health outcomes, business strategy and healthcare analytics requiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent PowerPoint and Excel skillsMust be able to work with complex data sets to form analytic and reporting solutions and collaborate with colleagues to align on statistical and other methods to derive valid analysesAbility to be proactive on deliverablesAbility to lead and manage projects across cross-functional teams to achieve business goalsAbility to understand healthcare regulatory frameworks and the dynamics of the Canadian healthcare ecosystemDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with highly refined communication and interpersonal skillsWhy work at Shoppers Drug Mart?Acting as consultants, supporting internal customers and the Associate-Owners, you will get experience unique to the retail industry while working for an award-winning national brand.
