This team will design and deliver global training content, as well as conduct trainings for all affiliates, including the US.Job Description:Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Excellence Training, the Director, Marketing Fundamentals Training will be responsible for leading all aspects of training for marketing fundamentals that link to marketing competencies. This will include designing and delivering global marketing training content, as well as conduct trainings for all affiliates, including the US. The candidate will be accountable for training content creation, conducting global training needs assessments, training design, training development, training delivery and training evaluation.The successful candidate will be a dynamic, experienced individual with a strong track record of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. She/he must have the proven ability to effectively manage complex projects, influence stakeholders without authority, effectively network across the organization and communicate with senior leaders all within a fast moving, challenging and dynamic Commercial environment.Essential Duties and Job Functions:Specific responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following:Extensive experience in curriculum development, project management, executive presence, facilitation expertise and a deep understanding of adult learning principles.Work with US (key contributor) and Affiliate Commercial Learning & Development to:Develop/enhance fundamental marketing trainings that are fit-for-future.Develop inventory of current regional/local existing training programs related to marketing.Review inventory of trainings to determine viability for reuse or adaptation at a global level with a focus on optimizing/building what drives most impact at scale.Collaborate with global stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes and the required behaviours, skills and knowledge needed by different roles to deliver them.Determine content changes required for existing training curricula or work with external vendors to design and build new global content.Incorporate motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience, in an effort to maximize learning and retention.Assure competencies and corresponding trainings to achieve competitiveness and operational excellence.Once global training is developed, lead efforts to conduct regional/local training activities for new/early-stage career marketers.Build relationships and engage with organization senior executives and functional stakeholders.Ensure that strategic plans, goals and objectives are documented, communicated, reviewed and evaluated on a continuous basis.Ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout training development processes, continuously incorporating feedback to ensure relevance and inclusion.Proactively engage with commercial groups to resolve issues, conflicts and interdependenciesLead by example, respecting Gilead core values of integrity, accountability, teamwork, excellence, and inclusion.Skills and experience:BS/BA,MS/MA OR PhD working in the biopharmaceutical and/or health care industry in Commercial roles with increasing responsibilities and accountabilities.
