We are currently seeking a Director for our Analytical Science group within Chemical Development. This is your chance to be part of a team that works across the entire value chain, designing and delivering active ingredients, formulations, and devices required to support new medicines and commercialisation of products.Accountabilities:As a Director, you will be accountable for leading and developing a multi-skilled team of scientific specialists. You will manage the prioritisation and resourcing of the portfolio of activities within the team. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to build capability in analytical science within drug substance development. Your role will involve key scientific input to the development of multi-million dollar global business cases for investment in scientific instrumentation and capability.Essential Skills & Experience:– BSc/PhD level education in relevant discipline
– Significant experience working within Analytical Sciences in a Research and Development and/or Manufacturing environment, preferably within the Pharmaceutical Industry
– Significant experience of leading and managing teams of people
– Broad experience of Clinical phase and Commercial regulatory submissions with respect to the contributions made in analytical characterisation and control strategy development
– Thorough understanding of the principles and management of SHE and cGMPSkills & Capabilities:– Ability to operate across functional boundaries
– Ability to analyse and interpret complex situations and provide clear strategic direction for others
– Excellent communication skills and strategic influencing skills across interfaces of discipline, culture, and expertise both internally and externally
– Excellent team working and networking skills
– Strong leadership skills, with track record of building high performing teams and developing team effectiveness
– Strong analytical thinking skills as a proven problem solver
– Change management and project management skills
