We’re uniting science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together.GSK R&D is looking for a Director – Performance Management to join its analytics team and drive data-driven decision making across the organization.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement a performance management framework that aligns with the company’s strategic pipeline progression goals and objectives.
- Define, monitor, and report on pipeline key performance indicators (KPIs) for various functions and projects within the research and development (R&D).
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on portfolio optimization, resource allocation, risk management, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts and data scientists to deliver high-quality analytics solutions and self-service capabilities.
- Foster a data-driven culture and promote best practices for data governance, quality, and security.
- Partner with the leadership team to discover and define the analytics opportunities to drive business value for better decision making and planning.
- Demonstrate strategic approach and growth mindset with an understanding of the underlying story behind the data, answering “so what” and able to translate that with ease to leadership.
- Must be driven with an enterprising and relentless how-to curiosity about Improve the way things are done, with a constant focus on our internal and external data.
- Identify opportunities for optimal delivery of R&D pipeline through data and insights. Leverage modern data visualization and analytics technologies.
Why you?Basic Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or business analytics.
- Considerable experience in analytics, performance management, or consulting, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Expertise in enterprise analytics platforms, tools, and methodologies, such as data warehousing, business intelligence, data visualization, and dashboarding.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Proven direct/matrixed leadership and project management experience with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Higher qualification such as MSc/PhD in a quantitative subject such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or business analytics.
- Strong knowledge of the R&D processes and the key drivers and challenges of the pharmaceutical pipeline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence data-driven decisions.
