Position SummaryAre you a passionate leader in clinical psychology looking to make a meaningful impact by directing the Psychology Training Clinic at the University of Regina? Join us as our new Director, Psychology Training Clinic!The Psychology Training Clinic, located on the University of Regina campus, has a reception area, Director’s office, multiple interview rooms with one-way mirrors and observation areas, a secure file room, student workspace, and state-of-the-art video and audio recording equipment. The program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina is committed to the scientist-practitioner model and is accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association. The Department maintains good relations with a number of health care, research, and other educational facilities both within Regina and throughout the province.This position will have the opportunity to cultivate a thriving clinic with a strong base of clientele seeking psychological services.What You’ll Do:Management of the Psychology Training Clinic

  • Development of clinic protocols
  • Generation of new clinic referrals from community sources
  • Clinical supervision of psychology graduate students
  • Participation in departmental and clinical committee activities.

Position RequirementsWhat You’ll Bring to this Position:

  • Doctorate in clinical psychology from a CPA- or APA-accredited program. Maintenance of registration as a Doctoral Psychologist in the province of Saskatchewan will be a condition for continuation of employment.
  • 5 plus years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Applicants should be registered as a Psychologist in Saskatchewan or be eligible to apply for provisional registration as soon as possible after they are hired.

Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:

  • Thorough knowledge of current models of psychopathology, assessment and psychotherapy;
  • Knowledge of a wide range of psychological disorders and treatment practices;
  • Knowledge of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and applicable diagnostic criteria;
  • Knowledge of human nature and interpersonal relations, including well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of best practices for supervision and training of graduate student therapists; and
  • Budget management experience is also an asset.

Physical Demands
Pay Grade APT 9
Salary Range $93,023 – $125,527 (plus $12,000 market supplement)
Status Permanent
Work HoursAlign with the URFA APT Collective Agreement.
Work Hours: 36.25 hours/week on average.Work Schedule: To be determined based on mutual agreement; hours may vary from week-to-week in order to meet the operational needs of the clinic, while respecting the Director’s right to a reasonable and flexible work schedule.Additional details regarding time off and benefit package are available upon request.
