Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As the Director, Treasury Solutions, SWO (Southwest Ontario) & PayEdge, you will achieve business results through sales excellence, strategic initiative and market leadership with a dual mandate of market coverage and leading a national PayEdge specialist team. By partnering and supporting Business Financial Services you will deliver the strategic business priorities of client loyalty, profitable revenue growth and new client acquisition. You will coach a capable and productive team of Treasury Solution Professionals to maximize sales and business performance while addressing operational requirements. As a leader, you enable your team to achieve superior client experience and enhance employee capability and engagement while leveraging the full RBC capabilities.What will you do?

  • Achieve business result through sales and market leadership, implementation of strategic direction and representation across the region.
  • Work in partnership with Commercial Financial Services Sales teams to implement strategies, processes and disciplines to deliver high quality financial advice and relationship management for clients with Cash Management & Commercial Card needs.
  • Delivers business advice and new insights to clients with a unique perspective, using industry and economic insights to effectively lead meaningful client discovery sessions to uncover hidden business challenges and opportunities
  • Conduct effective sales management routines tailored to bring value to team members, maintaining a forward looking view focusing on key behaviors and activities to move sales opportunities forward and close business.
  • Coach and influence your sales team to pro-actively grow existing relationships, partner to acquire new clients and build client loyalty through financial advice.
  • Represent and promote the RBC brand in the marketplace by participating in bank events and the local business community.
  • Develops client strategy reviews/plans in consultation with relevant stakeholders, reviewing and providing guidance on Direct or Indirect Report’s client plans
  • Handle customer issues by engaging appropriate partners.
  • Effectively lead change management initiatives and enhance employee commitment, capability and client loyalty by leveraging the full RBC Financial Group capabilities, including specialized sales forces, and alternate delivery channels and service partners.
  • Strategically Liaise and influence multiple stakeholders (Product, Technology, Operations, ePix, Business Enablement) to make continuous enhancements on PayEdge, partnerships and lead programs, to drive further opportunities & improve overall experience.
  • Represent RBC in multiple payment & Franchise conferences to expand our COI partnerships and market presence driving further opportunities while strategizing on further business development activities.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • 5+ years of business and commercial banking experience in a financial services environment: Excellent understanding of financial products and services including RBC Cash Management Products and emerging payment industry trends
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, as you will be working remotely from your reporting officer and your team
  • Strong leadership/people management and organizational skills – ability to manage a geographically diverse and mobile team, and the ability to drive impact & influence through peer and upward coaching.
  • Proven negotiation skills in complex client scenarios and the ability to work with executive level stakeholders both internally and clients within the portfolio
  • Strong working knowledge of office software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional collaboration with products, operations, enablement, technology partners to leverage multiple strategic and business levers to growth PayEdge and deepen adoption at RBC.
