Location / Campus: South Kensington Campus – HybridJob summaryWe are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Disability Advisor to contribute to a student-centred specialist advice and guidance service.The successful candidate will be expected to provide confidential, impartial advice and support to students, enabling them to participate fully in all aspects of their course. Duties and responsibilitiesThe role entails liaison with departments (academic and other) regarding the provision of appropriate reasonable adjustments and advising prospective students and their families on support and accessibility. The post holders will:
Essential requirementsYou must be educated to degree level, and with evidence of relevant continuing professional development in the field of disability, all applicants will have a proven track record of giving advice and facilitating support for disabled people.You should also have a good knowledge of the needs of disabled people preferably within an educational setting.You must possess excellent IT skills, a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and experience of maintaining accurate, confidential client case notes, as well as an understanding of the Equality Act and Data Protection legislation.Further informationFull details of this role can be found in the Job Description.The post is a full-time and permanent position and the post holder will be based in the South Kensington Campus, working partly from home on a remote basis and partly on campus.Candidates must apply online via the College Careers website and complete an online application.
