Position: Distribution Sales Representative
Location: GTAWho are you?We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy sales professional with strong business acumen and a proven ability to drive sales growth in the distribution sector. You will be responsible for managing key distributor relationships, expanding market share, and achieving sales targets within the GTA. As part of a cross-functional, growth-focused team, you will contribute to the company’s success by building strong partnerships with distributors and maximizing sales potential.What will you do?– Develop and strengthen distributor relationships: Identify and target key distributors to expand the reach of our product lines.
– Drive new business opportunities: Utilize a creative approach to build out new channels within existing distributor accounts and seek out new distributor partnerships.
– Meet and exceed sales targets: Own the territory’s sales performance by setting and achieving ambitious sales goals.
– Create tailored business plans: Develop comprehensive plans for each distributor, focusing on their unique needs and market demands.
– Execute account strategies: Implement structured sales processes that drive distributor engagement and maximize business outcomes.
– Provide solutions: Offer distributors technical guidance and solutions that align with their objectives, helping them increase profitability and customer satisfaction.
– Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product and marketing teams to provide distributor feedback and adapt offerings to meet market needs.
– Stay informed: Keep up with product developments, competitor activity, and industry trends, especially in LED lighting and lighting controls.What are we looking for?– 1-3 years of experience in sales within one of these industries: Lighting, Smart Home Technologies, Building Automation, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Construction and Infrastructure, Architecture and Interior Design, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Manufacturing, Security & Surveillance with a focus on distribution channels.
– Strong knowledge of LED lighting and controls as well as experience navigating the distribution landscape highly desirable.
– Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a distributor-facing role.
– Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
– Strong account management skills and ability to drive sales processes from prospecting to close.
