Employee TypeFull TimeVacancy TypePermanentTown/RegionMontreal, QCAbout the roleResponsible for personnel management activities of the Technical Records Department such as: scheduling, personnel actions (hiring, training and development) and supervising all the activities to technical library and technical archivesConduct internal self-verification in the Technical Records Department and ensuring that internal & Externals regulatory requirements are met (Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM)/ Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA)/ Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)…)Preparing and following monthly business and department Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s)Responsible for maintaining a record keeping system that will always conform to Civil Aviation RegulationsResponsible to ensure adequate archiving all completed engine technical records in an approved mannerLiaise with the Quality Department as appropriate to ensure that all the regulatory requirements are metParticipate in all required meetingsManage customer request for Technical RecordsRegularly review team performance, lessons learned to optimize efficiency and best practice sharing across services teamsReviewing internal processes and systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and collaborate with training, quality, and product innovation to influence improvementsManaging all engine lines, and reproducing documentation for Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions (LMCES) shop, and Customer RequirementsDeveloping the Quality & Commercial Standards, and Involved in the Purchase/Lease/Sell of Engines & Parts for supporting Customer ContractsPlan, prioritize and manage project workloads internally and across multiple clientsEnsuring project delivery meet/exceed customer expectations – quality, velocity, reliability is delivered within set parametersResource planning – bringing together the right mix of expertise/capability across the teams to deliver project prioritiesParticipate in the development of recommendations for corrective and preventative actions to respond to internal & external findingsLead Various Projects across the Business for Continuous ImprovementMay participate in inspections and internal and external audits of regulatory/certification bodies, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers of products and servicesRedaction and revision of internal processes.What you bring to the roleMinimum of 5 years maintenance records experience.Minimum of 2 years in a supervising role * strong knowledge on archival, retention and compliance issuesGood communication skills (internal and external customers).Other:Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Access, Excel)Must be able to comprehend regulations and guidance documents and apply critical thinking skills to evaluate requirementsExcellent judgment, decision-making, training/mentoring skills and verbal/written communication skillsStrong leadership, organizational skills and detail orientedAble to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.Additional skills desired for the roleRecords & information management certificate.Engine/aircraft maintenance records is an asset.Maintenance records life cycle is an asset.Ability to coach and mentor the team to let the team make a differenceRole model values in action – support, transparency, and respectExperience with supervising a union-represented group of employees is an assetLeadership – team management, Impact and InfluenceAbility to summarize, Organizational planning and Problem solverCapacity to delegate, Awareness of controls and Priority ManagementOrganizational skills and Project ManagementDisciplineAdministrationAbout usLockheed Martin Canada is the Canadian-based arm of Lockheed Martin Corporation, a global security and aerospace company employing 110,000 people worldwide, including more than 1,000 Canadians. Language Requirements in QuebecIntermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec.
