We are looking for a passionate, creative, and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join our vibrant Performing Arts Department at a prestigious independent school. As a Drama Teacher, you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire students from KS3 to KS5, fostering a love for drama and performance. You will engage students through innovative and dynamic lessons, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and self-expression, while nurturing their academic and personal growth in the arts.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver captivating drama lessons to students across KS3 to KS5, promoting creativity, performance skills, and critical thinking.
  • Organise and produce school performances and productions, allowing students to showcase their talents and develop teamwork and leadership abilities.
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their best potential in drama studies.
  • Encourage students to explore different theatrical techniques, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of drama.
  • Support the development and growth of the Drama Department, contributing ideas for curriculum improvements and extra-curricular activities.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to express themselves confidently.

About You:
To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related subject.
  • A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching drama across KS3 to KS5, with a passion for cultivating students’ creativity and love for the performing arts.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
