The university and our students regularly win national awards with the games industry, and our graduates have gone on to successful careers in the UK and international games industry. Your teaching will focus on Concept Art modules but could include other areas of games art or life drawing where appropriate. You will also supervise final-year projects and help prepare students for their post-university careers.

In addition to developing and delivering outstanding teaching and learning, you will have the opportunity to contribute towards our ambitious research, scholarship and enterprise strategy, working alongside colleagues in our Art, Design, and Technology teams. The department is highly interdisciplinary, covering all aspects of game production and a unique environment to develop a distinctive academic portfolio.

In addition to your teaching and scholarship, you will be involved in recruitment activities, including open days and portfolio reviews. You will also contribute to community engagement, including schools, colleges, and local industry. The institution works closely with the local community and has a strong civic engagement portfolio. You will also be expected to support and help us innovate our ongoing recruitment activities.

  • To engage in individual scholarship and CPD to maintain at the forefront of disciplinary knowledge.
  • To provide administration for module delivery to include attendance monitoring and module evaluation.
  • To provide personal tutor support to students
  • To participate in the development of innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • To support recruitment activities.
