Ecologist

Ecological Services Ltd are looking to recruit an ecologist (considering Senior Ecologists as well) to join a busy but friendly small team.

We are a small ecological consultancy based in South East Wales. We undertake a wide range of work from Preliminary Ecological Assessments (PEAs), site supervision in a range of sites not just for development, protected species licence work to helping shape internal policy documents for clients. We work with individual land and homeowners to multi national companies.

The successful applicant will be helping with a range of projects working with other more senior staff. The role will not include bat survey work and will be daytime based unless the occasional site supervision requires an earlier or later start. The successful applicant will need to be organised, professional and flexible to chip in on all aspects of consultancy work

Job will entail:

• Home based working with computer supplied, however will need to live in South East Wales
• At least 2 years experience
• Particularly keen on PEA and botany skills / experience
• Training budget each year
• Protected species licence are a bonus but not necessary
• Wage range provided but happy to consider more for the right applicants
• Mileage allowance for travel
