Edinburgh Nature Network Manager
Salary: Circa £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Location: Leith, with some travel within Edinburgh
Status: Full Time, Fixed Term for 10 months (Maternity Cover)

For nearly 60 years, the Scottish Wildlife Trust has worked with its members, partners and
supporters in pursuit of its vision of healthy, resilient ecosystems across Scotland’s land and
seas. The Trust successfully champions the cause of wildlife through policy and campaigning
work, demonstrates best practice through practical conservation and innovative partnerships,
and inspires people to take positive action through its education and engagement activities. It
also manages a network of over 100 wildlife reserves across Scotland and is a member of the
UK-wide Wildlife Trusts movement.
The role:
We’re looking for a Nature Network Manager to support the development of Edinburgh Nature
Network (ENN), improving its impact through coordinated delivery. ENN is delivered by a working
group of Edinburgh Living Landscape, whose secretariat is provided by Scottish Wildlife Trust.
Main duties:
- Finish the development of Edinburgh Nature Network (ENN)
- Promote and report on the use of ENN within Edinburgh Living Landscape and beyond
- Be an advocate for ENN and Scottish Wildlife Trust
The successful candidate will ideally:
- Be proficient in MS Excel, including use of functions for data analysis
- Have demonstrable experience of collating information from a range of stakeholders into a
coherent narrative - Have demonstrable experience producing written materials in different formats as
appropriate to a range of audiences - Have a working knowledge of ecological restoration and management in an urban context
- Be proficient in GIS, specifically ArcGIS version 10 or above and ArcGIS Online
including StoryMaps and surveys - Be organised and self-sufficient with a proven track record of delivering work to a high
standard - Have the ability to use digital collaboration platforms to co-develop work
- Experience using reporting feedback mechanisms to inform relevant parties of progress
- Be comfortable working with a range of interest groups in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Highly self-motivated and capable of independent working
