Loraas Recycle is currently looking for an Education Coordinator to lead programming from our Education Centre. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for creating and facilitating a variety of educational and promotional initiatives in Saskatoon and surrounding communities. The Education Coordinator is key to the maintenance and development of a positive and accessible company image, across all Loraas divisions. This is a part-time permanent role of 24 hours per week.

Duties:

Create and implement wide-reaching educational and promotional programs to promote sustainable waste habits and behaviors.

Lead the Education Centre Program and host visitors at Loraas Recycle.

Teach educational programming and tours for school groups and organizations 2-3 days a week from grade 4+.

Coordinate Education Centre booking system, managing schedule and bus bookings.

Attend related industry events within the marketplace.

Flexible/reduced hours in July and August to align with school term.

Serve in a support role for the organization in other capacities as determined.
Qualifications:

Certificate in Education Assistance, Valid Saskatchewan Teacher’s Certificate, Bachelor of Education, or equivalent prior experience.

Previous experience in education and organizational development is considered an asset.

Minimum 1 year experience in an education or training role.

Strong knowledge of education methodologies.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills a necessity.

Comfortable with technology, proficient in computer and touchscreen utilization, and software applications.

Familiarity with Meta Business Suite is an asset.

A criminal record check with vulnerable sector search will be required.
