The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) makes public and private finance work for the poor in the world’s 45 least developed countries. As a part of the United Nations family, the agency believes that the maintenance of international peace and security in the world extends to promoting economic development through the Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”).
Legal services to UNCDF are provided by the Office of Legal Services of the Bureau for Management Services (“BMS/OLS”) of the United Nations Development Programme (“UNDP”).
UNCDF, through BMS/OLS, is seeking to engage a law firm with expertise in the negotiation of guarantee agreements, including guarantee agreements between international or multilateral organizations, the European Union, national and local governments and municipalities, non-profit entities and civil society organizations and the private sector.
