Job Description:Grade UE08: £49,250 to £60,321 per annumCollege of Science & Engineering / Edinburgh Parallel Computing CentreFull time: 35 Hours Per WeekFixed term: for 4 years (with likelihood of extension)EPCC is the UK’s leading centre for Supercomputing and Data Analytics with an international reputation for excellence in computational science and supercomputing research. EPCC hosts and manages leading-edge systems that includes the UK’s national supercomputing service (ARCHER2). This £79 million service is among the fastest systems in the world. Our collaborators include Rolls Royce and the UK Met Office. EPCC manages the (EIDF), which is a £190 million investment to make Edinburgh the data capital of the world.At EPCC we share a passion for innovation using state-of-the-art technologies, a love of solving complex challenges and a desire to impact our academic, public and private sector partners and clients in a meaningful way.The Opportunity:We are seeking a project manager to develop collaborations in the area of data science, in particular around the application of machine learning, the delivery of MLOps and the provision of flexible data analytics services. Experience is required in project management, client relationships and data science applications. You will be able demonstrate the ability to map technical and non-technical requirements in data science projects to technical service specifications for the EIDF.In this role: You will present regularly a roadshow to potential users of EIDF the service portfolio available. You will write funding proposals with partners with the aim to bring in projects that make use of EIDF. You will chair user engagement sessions to elicit user experience feedback on EIDF. You will chair meetings with prospective users of EIDF to map their requirements to EIDF service offering and provide price quotes. You will organise and chair townhall meetings for existing users to announce recent launched and changed services on EIDF. You will setup a user forum to enable EIDF users to share information. You will initiate meetings with external organisations that help leverage engagement with organisations that may want to use EIDF.As a valued member of our team, you can expect:
