An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dual-qualified (UK and European) Patent Attorney with 1-3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join a leading intellectual property firm. You will be entrusted with handling complex patent matters, developing client relationships and contributing to the growth of the firm’s electronics practice.Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the UKIPO, EPO and other international patent offices
• Advising clients on IP strategy, including portfolio development and management
• Conducting patentability, freedom-to-operate and infringement analyses
• Handling opposition and appeal proceedings at the EPO
• Providing bespoke advice to clients and maintaining strong professional relationships
• Supporting the team by mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Dual-qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney with 1-3 years’ PQE
• A strong academic background in electronics, electrical engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience managing diverse and complex patent portfolios
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and legal concepts clearly
• A client-focused, proactive approach with strong organisational and analytical abilities
