Salary: Grade 7 £32,411 – £36,333 per annum together with USS pension benefits
Hours of work: Full time position

The post requires high quality delivery of teaching and student learning, and a commitment to enhancing the overall student experience.
Liaising with colleagues across the University, you will ensure the highest quality service to students, through the transition of international students into academic departments and strengthening the links between ELTS and the wider university.

Specific duties expected of the English Language Tutor within the Department of English Language Training Services (ELTS);
This post requires a person to be an active part of a dynamic teaching team, develop and deliver an established curriculum and work within both the Academy and the wider University to represent ELTS and strengthen our departmental reputation.
The day-to-day role will include working in a professional teaching team, being actively involved in materials creation and preparation, the updating of existing materials, up to 20 hours per week of course delivery, pastoral care of students, attending trips and social activities on evenings and weekends as required.
All tutors will be expected to adhere to internal policies and procedures as stipulated in the staff handbook.
It is expected that all teaching activities will take place in-person on campus as stipulated by course coordinators and in response to departmental/business needs.
