Job DescriptionThe Specialist, Email Marketing is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on execution of email marketing campaigns, calendar, and select strategic initiatives in support of company and business unit objectives. This individual understands email marketing best practices and how to apply them to the execution of our email campaigns and programs.KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS
- Manage the day to day and maintain a very robust email marketing calendar – ensure it is up-to-date, and changes are communicated to key stakeholders (creative team, production team & merchants).
- Primary scorecard metrics: Thorough campaign tracking and analysis – email open, click, conversion rates and revenue delivered to the business.
- Ensure creative is on brand, uses the Indigo voice and coincides with online stories & in-store stories
- Proactively manage approval process ensuring milestones & interim deadlines are met to deploy emails on time, and error free.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESFunctional
- Maintain a very fluid email marketing calendar to meet the needs of business
- Execute email campaigns from concept brief to deployment by:
- Develop creative briefs for email campaigns in the marketing calendar
- Manage campaign content, stakeholder reviews and edits ensuring milestones and interim deadlines are met to deploy emails on time
- Perform quality assurance on all coded emails with production team to ensure products, content and links are correct to ensure an error free deployment
- Oversee email performance and reporting by:
- Track, compile and analyze email campaign results to ensure campaigns are meeting objectives
- Make recommendations to enhance effectiveness & improve KPIs
- Make email campaign testing recommendations, then executing and reporting on results
- Provide online promotional support by:
- Compile and submit promotion request forms and assist in the quality assurance of email specific promotions
- Support the development and rollout of new email programs
- Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in email marketing and share this information with the marketing team.
- Continually look for ways to optimize and make briefing process more efficient.
- Responsible for the development, creation and execution of online in-packs, including being the main point of contact in all offline communications with the DC
- Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes
- Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them

QualificationsWork Experience / Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in preferably marketing, communications or business
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in marketing
- 2+ years’ experience in email marketing campaign management
- Experience in a B2C fast-paced retail / ecommerce environment
- Experience with project management systems like Trello and proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Competencies / Skills / Attributes
- Strong command and understanding of email marketing KPIs, metrics and technology
- Very detail-oriented with strong analytical, planning and time-management/organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple highly detailed tasks accurately while reacting with urgency and reprioritizing as needed to ensure all objectives and project deadlines are met
- Strong communication skills – dealing with stakeholders on a daily basis
