We operate in over 70 countries, managing thousands of clients across supply chain networks covering organic food, farming, beauty and textiles to sustainable forestry and high-integrity carbon schemes in emerging nature markets.
Our people are highly skilled ranging from auditors and inspectors to technical, commercial and marketing experts. We have ambitious growth targets and work to deliver excellence for all clients in the UK and beyond.
We are looking for an employed inspector to inspect organic food facilities in the Midlands. As representatives of the Soil Association you need to be professional and personable in how you approach your work. Be able to connect with a variety of people from various communities and backgrounds and help deliver excellent customer service.
The inspector role is also a critical customer service role responsible for delivering excellence in how you communicate, behave and respond to our licensees. This is demonstrated in post by licensee liaison before, during, and after visits, time management of diaries and audits, and managing feedback during inspections which could include discussing non-compliant matters and actions required for improvement.
A successful candidate will have inspecting experience, a background in food manufacturing and be aware of the pressure and demands faced by them within our industry. They need to show confidence, knowledge and authority in the role they perform and behaviours they demonstrate. Must be able to work away from home as required.
