We are currently seeking experienced consultants or engagement managers to join our Intelligence & Insight business in London, UK.My client is a leading biopharma intelligence agency. They provide impactful insights and decision support to product and portfolio teams throughout all stages of development, from clinical trials to loss of exclusivity.About the OpportunityAn Engagement Manager will split their time across following capabilities:
- 70% project management and delivery
- 20% primary and secondary research
- 10% client business development within existing accounts
You will be joining a rapidly growing business backed by private equity, where high-performing employees can make a significant impact and contribute to their continued success. Your advanced degree will be utilized to support the development and commercialization of portfolios, assets, and brands. By integrating therapeutic, clinical, and commercial expertise, you will help ensure that our clients can make confident decisions.Your role will include executing intelligence and insight engagements across our clients’ product and company life cycles, as well as growing revenue within existing accounts. As many of our clients are based in the US, a deep understanding of the evolving US biopharmaceutical market and trends is essential. Knowledge of drug development and commercialization in other markets will also be beneficial, as global client stakeholders may be involved in projects.Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of client engagements, including design, planning, client management, team management, evidence collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Client Management: Collaborate with project and account teams to provide exceptional customer service and ensure efficient project execution.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and pursue growth with new brands.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as an external subject matter expert and mentor junior staff members internally.
- Secondary Data Analytics: Contribute to the sourcing, analysis, and reporting of published information in various fields related to biopharmaceuticals.
- Evidence Generation: Collect evidence from various sources, including interviews and desk-based research, to understand market trends, competitors, and stakeholders.
- Analysis and Reporting: Work with the project team to analyse findings, develop insights, and create evidence-based client presentations.
- Conference Attendance: Attend key conferences to interact with experts and stay up to date with the latest developments in the field.
- Line Management: Mentor members of the Intelligence & Insight team, identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and support their professional development.
Required Experience and Skills
- Life sciences degree(s), such as PhD, MD/MSc combination, or MBA.
- Over 5 years of consulting experience. Strong business development and account management skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
- Proven experience managing and developing consulting account teams.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and provide subject matter expertise.
