Engagement Ranger

The Role

We are looking for an Engagement Ranger to help us maintain access, recreation and nature,
manage volunteers, and engage with visitors, as well as working with partners and colleagues as
appropriate. You will be based at Macclesfield Forest, working in partnership with United
Utilities.

You will be required to work on a rota pattern with a requirement to work 50% of weekends per
annum and some bank holidays.

About You

You will need to be a people person who is able to use their own initiative and work closely
with visitors and local communities. You will have relevant experience of countryside
management, experience of working with visitors and volunteers, and be passionate about
providing access to nature and the countryside.

most accessible due its proximity to four major cities of the UK and its 38,000 residents. We
recognise the importance of our national park and our job is to speak up and care for the Peak
District National Park for all to enjoy forever.
