To be successful as an English Academic Coach, you will have at least a bachelor’s degree in English Language, Literature, or a related subject. You will have a passion for the education and wellbeing of KS3 and KS4 students, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the English language. It is essential that you are committed to fulfilling the maximum potential of all students and are willing to go above and beyond to improve attainment levels. Your communication style will be clear and concise and will be coupled with the confidence necessary to build strong relationships with under-achieving students aged 11-16.The Role
As an English Academic Coach, your responsibilities will include assisting teaching staff in the planning and delivery of engaging GCSE English lessons, as well as aiding in providing students with constructive and personal feedback. You will offer both 1:1 and small group support to students as needed to assist in improving their attainment and progress levels and will build good relationships to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
