Salary: £419.25 – £500 per week
Position: Full-Time, Starting October
Duration: Until the End of the Academic Year (with potential for a permanent role based on performance)Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and passionate English Graduate to join an Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school in Denton, Tameside, as a Teaching Assistant. This full-time role is scheduled to begin in October and is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience in education while making a significant impact on students’ learning.Role Overview: As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the English department to support the delivery of high-quality education. Your primary role will be to assist students in developing their literacy skills, helping them to engage with the curriculum effectively. You will provide targeted support to students who need additional help, whether through one-on-one sessions, small group work, or in-class assistance. Your work will be crucial in helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and delivery of English lessons, ensuring that all students are engaged and challenged.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those who may be struggling with aspects of English language and literature.
  • Assist with the preparation of lesson materials and classroom resources.
  • Work alongside teachers to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Help to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported.
  • Engage with wider school activities and contribute to the school’s ethos and culture.

Requirements:

  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • A strong passion for education and a commitment to supporting student learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Previous experience working with young people, whether in a classroom setting or through voluntary work, is desirable but not essential.
