Position Summary
Our Clients is seeking a qualified and dedicated English Language Instructor to join our English Language Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering English language sessions tailored to healthcare professionals. The instructor will help students improve their English language skills and assess their progress, providing feedback on areas needing improvement.
Key Responsibilities– Curriculum Development: Design and develop curriculum and lesson plans tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals, ensuring alignment with the goals of the English Language Centre.
– Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive English language lessons using a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
– Assessment: Assess and evaluate students’ language skills through tests, quizzes, and assignments. Provide detailed feedback to help students improve.
– Technology Integration: Utilize modern educational technologies and digital tools to enhance learning experiences, such as language learning software, online resources, and interactive platforms.
– Student Support: Offer additional support and tutoring for students who need extra help. Develop individualized learning plans for students with specific needs.
– Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and best practices in language instruction.
– Cultural Sensitivity: Promote a culturally inclusive classroom environment that respects and values the diverse backgrounds of the students.
– Collaboration: Work closely with other instructors and staff within the Academic Affairs department to ensure consistency in teaching standards and practices.
– Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades. Prepare periodic reports on student performance for review by the Academic Affairs department.Job RequirementsEducation:– Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field from a recognized and accredited university.Experience:– Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in English language instruction to adult learners, preferably at the university level for health professions.
– At least one year of experience teaching English language to healthcare professionals is preferred.Skills and Qualifications:– Native-level proficiency in English (spoken and written).
– Demonstrated ability to use technology in the classroom to enhance learning (e.g., interactive whiteboards, language learning apps, online teaching platforms).
– Holding an IELTS, TOEFL, or an equivalent qualification is an asset in addition to the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
– Certified teaching-related courses for Clinical/Medical Academic Affairs for healthcare professionals are highly desirable.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
– Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Optional Requirements:– Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferred.
