We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving Sixth Form College near Andover. This full-time English position will run until Christmas, with the potential for a permanent placement in the new year for the right candidate. You will be teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills, supporting students in their academic development and helping them achieve their qualifications. This role is ideal for an English Teacher ready to make a meaningful impact in a supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students working towards their GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications.
• Plan and develop curriculum materials tailored to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.
• Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere where students feel supported and motivated to achieve.
• Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to guide their improvement and academic success.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a background in English Literature, Language, or a related field.
• Strong subject knowledge and experience in delivering GCSE English and Functional Skills.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to inspire and engage post-16 learners in a sixth form environment.
• Commitment to professional growth and a passion for teaching.
