Location: Newcastle
Salary: £125 to £155 per day, depending on experienceContract: Daily supply, Long-termAre you a passionate individual with a fervour for the English language? Do you believe in shaping young minds through literature and communication?GSL Education Newcastle Branch are presently working in partnership with an exceptional school located in Newcastle, that ishiring a qualified English Teacher to join their brilliant team. This role comes with a rewarding experience to make a significant impact on students’ understanding and appreciation of English.The Role:As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing students’ appreciation for literature and language. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive English lessons, fostering a positive learning environment and guiding students towards academic excellence.Essential qualities of an English Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and educational standards.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate improvement.
• Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Provide additional support to students who require extra help, both inside and outside the classroom and update parents and guardians on their progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and develop teaching strategies that improve student outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in English or a related field.
• Possess a teaching qualification (PGCE or QTS).
• Have previous experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• Have a profound knowledge of the British curriculum and educational standards.
• A passion for continuous professional development.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
