Job descriptionEnglish teacher – Tameside – January startA dedicated and passionate English Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Tameside, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4 from 08/01/2025, on an ongoing basis, for the rest of the current academic year.This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers. This role could term to permanent for the right candidate.You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. This school teaches AQA at GCSE and has a key focus on an investigative approach that compliments their well research pedagogy. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.The opportunity is to work at a school that has Good behaviour and attitudes, which means students behave well in lesson and around the school site. Teachers expectations of pupils behaviour and achievements are high.
