Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £30,000 to £46535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start date: January 2025/ Easter start

• Design and deliver innovative and effective English lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in English.
• Conduct regular assessments, provide constructive feedback and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active learning and mutual respect.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching practice and stay abreast of educational best practices.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• A recognised teaching qualification, such as QTS, or equivalent and similar instructional experience.
• A degree in English, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student progress and achievement.
• Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to present complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in students.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
