We are now seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team and inspire students with a passion for language and literature. This role begins April 2025.Duties as an English Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Develop students’ skills in literary analysis, creative writing, and comprehension.
- Inspire a love for reading through exposure to a wide range of texts.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and create a positive learning environment.
- Support and challenge students of all abilities to reach their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and share best practices.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as debating clubs, creative writing workshops, or school productions.
Ideal English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching English at KS3/KS4/KS5.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum, literature, and language.
- A passion for inspiring and engaging students.
- Excellent classroom management and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
- A commitment to high expectations and raising student attainment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills as an English Teacher.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
