We are looking for an intern to come on board who is passionate about pursuing a career in

clients and your work is likely to include content creation, copywriting, media relations,
research, and supporting events.

We are looking for applicants with a strong grounding in topic areas across climate change,
nature, biodiversity, energy and/or sustainability, as well as where these issues intersect
with socio-economic issues.

The role will involve supporting and learning from BEC consultants in designing and executing
campaigns for client accounts through activities such as:

  • Research and analysis
  • Media monitoring of key environmental topics
  • Devising story angles and ideas for digital and traditional media
  • Creating and editing content for digital platforms, utilising knowledge of digital trends
    and analytics insights
  • Support on developing media materials including talking points, reporter briefs, media
    lists, pitches and more
  • Copywriting thought leadership communications, such as op-eds or blogs
  • Participation in internal team calls, client calls and project planning sessions

This internship will enable successful applicants to enhance their knowledge of international
environmental affairs and strategic communications. It will also help to advance the intern’s
fundamental skills in research, report writing, copywriting, content development and project
management.

For the right candidates, there is the possibility of progressing the internship into a
full-time job, and the possibility of visa sponsorship.

Required skills and experience:

  • Graduate with a relevant degree related to climate, environment or sustainability
  • Demonstratable interest in and knowledge of climate and environment topics
